Join the Fresno Chapter of The Modern Quilt Guild
The Modern Quilt Guild was conceived in Los Angeles in 2009 by two women who wanted to quilt in a different way from traditional quilting. Today there are over 100 guilds worldwide.
I discovered the guild by browsing quilt blogs a few weeks ago, and landed on Handmade by Alissa, one of its founders. What brought me back to quilting were all the cool, contemporary fabrics that are currently in the marketplace, so I was stoked to see Alissa's aesthetic! Alissa's blog led me to many other modern quilt blogs - Oh, Fransson!, Modern Day Quilts, and Tallgrass Prairie Studio - to name a few!
I was so excited to see all the modern quilters out there in the blogosphere, I was inspired to start a guild in Fresno and would love for you to be a part of our new guild!
Please check us out at www.themodernquiltguild.com
Leave me a comment below and I will contact you with further information. And, as always thanks for your interest! I hope to meet you soon!

ReplyDeleteHi Norma, Please go up to "join this site" and join as a member!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm wanting to know if you would be interested in going with me to Quilter's Paradise this coming Monday to talk to the owners about us using their store as a meeting place! Let me know!
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteI'm in Fresno also and while I don't know exactly what a quilt guild does I'm interested in learning. Also I'm looking for someone in the area who does professional quilting. I've got a finished quilt top and I just can't imagine doing it on my regular machine. Thanks.
Michell
