If there is anyone that is interested in taking over the responsibility of our guild and building it's membership, please send me a comment on this blog or come to our final meeting on Saturday, March 30 from 2:00 - 5:00!
We've had a nice little run since January 2012, but there has not been enough interest or participation to keep the FMQG going. If there is a member who would like to breathe some fresh air and leadership into our guild, let us know! We'd love to hear from you!
We, currently, have 29 members signed up, but we continue to only have 4 - 6 members show up every month.
I would like to thank everyone who has participated! You've been a very fun part of my quilting life!

Brought back by popular demand. . . the pin cushion swap!
The Pin Cushion Swap at our December meeting was hugely popular and creative, so we decided to do it again!
If you'd like to participate, and we hope you do, bring your pin cushion in a paper bag to our Saturday, January 26th meeting from 2:00 until 5:00pm!
Start thinking about what kind of swap or project you'd like to do for our February meeting! Some suggestions were coasters, pot holders, trivets, square table toppers, pet placemats or mug rugs! Or, maybe, our next swamp will be anything you'd like to create!
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

Meeting Change for April 2013
Hi Everyone, Quilter's Paradise needed to change our April Meeting from Saturday, April 27 to Sunday, April 28 from 12:00 to 4:00!
Also, I want to thank Ronda for stepping up to do our Facebook page!

FMQG MEETING SCHEDULE
Hello Everyone,
Thanks to Shirley and Joan for coming to check us out at our October meeting! We sure hope you sign up as members! We enjoyed having you!
Just a reminder - there will be NO MEETING IN NOVEMBER! Happy Thanksgiving!
Our next meeting will be Saturday, December 8 from 2:00 - 5:00 @ Quilter's Paradise
And, we'll have a PIN CUSHION SWAP! So, anyone who wants to participate bring their pin cushion in a brown paper bag! Also, QP's sells crushed walnut shells for $1.75 a bag as filler for your pin cushion - it works great!
Also, if any of you have some fabric that you no longer love, bring it with you and we'll have a FABRIC SWAP, too! Whatever fabric is left over, Jackie will take it to use for Senior Quilts!
BRING ANY QUILT BOOKS you might think we'd enjoy paging through while we're quilting! QP's had some books available for us last time and they were enjoyable to look through and talk about!

Next Meeting - Saturday, October 27th - 2:00 - 5:00pm!
Hi Everyone,
We want to thank Carol for her demo at our September meeting on her "wavy" fabric quilt technique - such a cool technique! And, as with any creative endeavor, Carol's demo sparked all kinds of creative thinking and sharing of ideas! Gotta love it!
Karen showcased her quilt this month! Check out her awesome color palate! Beautiful quilt! Don't forget and bring quilts to share to the meeting - we support bragging rights!
Our October swap will be any item you'd like to make - mug rug, place mat, cell phone holder - with a Autumn or Halloween theme! Place it in a paper bag and we'll do a member "grab" with everyone that participates!

Our membership has grown to 27, and it's so much fun to walk into Quilter's Paradise every month and see our members, along with new faces! Thanks to everyone who brings so much creativity, friendship and fun to our guild!

FMQG August Meeting
Our August meeting had the best turnout yet! Welcome to all our new members, and don't forget to "join" on this blog!
Karen has volunteered to create our Facebook page, and it's already up and running! So, check it out and "like", "comment" and "recommend" us to the social community! Thanks, Karen!
We will be having a Mug Rug Swap at our next meeting, September 22! Karen has posted two tutorials on our Facebook page! I just finished my Mug Rug using one of the tutorials and it was fun and easy! Bring your finished Mug Rug in a paper bag to our meeting and everyone who made one will leave with one!
Also, Carol will be demonstrating her "Wavy Glue n' Flip" technique! I hope the title has peeked your interest because it makes for a very cool quilt effect!
